might get into voicesynths

finally watched the ego renegade boy music video last night, and i loved it! i watched some other voicesynth music videos as well, like water the roses, static, birdbrain, and confessions of a rotten girl. i've never been super into vocaloid/voicesynths but i've always enjoyed them, so i think i might start seeking them out more often.

comments

theme!

Take it from someone who had to do the latter for a class, browsing themes on here is WAY more fun than on WordPress. This theme might end up changing a few times in the near future, but I do quite like the current one. I will admit, a not-insignificant factor in the decision was my irrational dislike for serif fonts (astigmatism making it difficult to read dark-mode was another influence).

In other news, Tumblr reversed their decision within about 30 hours of making it, which is good news for me because I'd miss it if it changed so significantly. I'm still planning to give this place a shot, so I'll be sticking around at least for a bit. Maybe I'll post some WIP fics, or some Bryce renders...

comments

A whole new website to explore!

I've visited dreamwidth before, but only for short periods, like for a specific fic or something that happened to only be posted here. Tumblr's latest bad decision (altering the way notes work for some ungodly reason) has pushed me to finally make an account here. There's been times in the past where I've tried a new site and ended up going back to Tumblr, so we're just gonna have to wait and see how active I end up being here.

I've already started looking into a couple multifandom communities, mostly challenges for fic writers. I'm interested to see if these challenges finally manage to make me a more active author, whether of fic or original work.

Maybe if I'm feeling brave I'll post personal stuff on here. Life updates, that kinda thing. I don't even do that on Tumblr; I mostly just don't think of it. Same reason I've tried and failed to keep a journal- thoughts fly in and out of my head too fast to bother writing any of it down. Who knows, maybe this time it'll stick and I'll actually have a blog for once. I won't get my hopes up tho, lol.

No matter how I end up using this site, or even if I simply end up leaving, I'm looking forward to exploring a new (to me) online space. Here's hoping I stick around.

(also I have no idea how tags work here. is it like tumblr, where you can just chatter in them? guess i'll find out.)

comments
